The Romanos wins at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers' Travel Awards 2011.

The Greek hotel Romanos has been awarded ‘Favourite Overseas Leisure Hotel: Europe, Asia Minor and the Russian Federation’ at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers Travel Awards 2011. It is the first Greek hotel to win this award since they were established by Condé Nast Traveller in 1998. Located amidst lush olive groves in the Messinia region of Greece’s southwest Peloponnese coast, the Romanos is part of Navarino Dunes, the first area at the prime sustainable destination of Costa Navarino. Set in landscaped gardens with an array of indigenous trees and plants, it features luxurious rooms and suites, including many with individual infinity pools and offering spacious furnished terraces with beautiful views of the Ionian Sea. Facilities for guests include the first signature golf course in Greece, a 4.000 square meter Anazoe Spa, various restaurants, lounge areas, retail and entertainment options. Adventure seekers can enjoy mountain biking, hiking and plenty of watersport activities on the pristine one kilometer beach. A variety of racquet sports is also offered at a fully equipped academy. Indoor activities available include bowling, squash and basketball as well as extensive areas for meditation and workout classes. Greece was well recognised in this year's awards with its islands coming top in the Islands category. The Greek Islands and The Romanos, Costa Navarino, also won third and fourth places respectively in The World’s Top 100 list of experiences.
