The airline Etihad commences services to the Maldives from November 2011 on.
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced to commence operations to Malé, the capital city of the Republic of Maldives, on November 2011. Etihad will operate a daily return service from its home base in Abu Dhabi to Malé International Airport, operating Airbus A320 aircraft on the route, configured with two cabins and offering 1,904 seats each week. The departure in Abu Dhabi will be daily at 09:15 am, passengers will arrive in Malé at 02:30 pm. The return flight from Malé will departure daily at 08:40 pm and will arrive at 12:05 am in Abu Dhabi again. So the schedule offers an attractive afternoon arrival and evening departure. Etihad Holidays also has special packages on offer for the most spectacular of the islands. Offering a wide range of experiences for all budgets, they have developed tailored packages for honeymooners or families, sun worshippers or divers. The packages include flights, hotel accommodation and island transfers.
