The hotel Sassonher in the Dolomites opened its new Daniela Steiner Spa.
In Corvara, nestled within the enchanted landscape of the Alta Val Badia with its spruce woods and snow-capped peaks, is the Hotel Sassongher. In early December, the hotel opened its Daniela Steiner Wellness & Beauty Spa - a bright, peaceful space built with typical natural materials of the Dolomites. The clear natural wood, ivory-coloured decor and pure white Tyrolean sheep's wool rugs create a warm environment that invites guests to relax your mind and body. The products used in the Wellness & Beauty Spa are all designed by Daniela Steiner and use many local ingredients, such as arnica and mugho pine. The Relaxation Room is attractively furnished with traditional hand painted Tyrolean antique beds with the modern addition of a water mattress. Beyond the heated, covered swimming pool with jacuzzis is the outdoor terrace solarium, whose large windows frame a splendid, ever-changing view of the Dolomites. The wellness area also includes a Vital Dôme sauna with infrared technology, a Finnish sauna, a Vitarium bio-sauna, a pine-scented Wilderness sauna, a Turkish bath, showers with a luxurious cycle and aromatic steam, and a solarium. The “Ski and Wellness Thursday-through-Sunday Weekend”- package includes three nights in a matrimonial room, a welcome drink, half pension (a well-stocked buffet breakfast and a four-course à la carte dinner), free access to the new Spa along with a 135,- Euro wellness gift certificate, a free and individual shuttle service to and from the ski slopes and a live piano bar every night. Prices begin at 510,- Euros per person in a double Comfort room. The Hotel Sassongher will be open for the winter season until 10th of April 2011 and for the summer season from 22nd of June to 11th of September 2011.
