Bangkok Airways offers new flights on its Phuket-Samui-Trat route.
Bangkok Airways announced the launch of its new Phuket-Samui-Trat route to connect Thailand's eastern seaboard islands to Phuket on the Andaman Sea coast. From December 3, 2011 four weekly services will operate Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday using a 70-seat ATR72. The flight will depart from Phuket at 12:55 p.m. and arrive in Samui at 13:50 p.m. then continue at 14:20 p.m. to Trat, the last major town on the eastern seaboard, arriving at 15:40 p.m. The airline uses Samui as its hub for the new service, which will allow tourists to visit various beach destinations like Phuket, Samui and Chang Island without having to transit through Bangkok. So the service cuts travelling time for the visitors. Bangkok Airways offers similar connecting services to other seaside destinations: Samui and Krabi with five weekly, Phuket and U-Tapao (Rayong and Pattaya) with four weekly, Phuket-Samui-U-Tapao with daily and Samui and Phuket with three daily services.
