RIMOWA is pleased to announce a new flagship location within Vienna’s illustrious Golden Quarter, the heart of Austria’s most desirable shopping district.

A heritage location with a rich history, the new 569 sq m RIMOWA store opened in the classically designed Hochholzerhof, first constructed in the 17th century and expanded in 1838 to include a passageway. The building has evolved with the undulating eras of Viennese history, today the building has been converted into luxury storefronts occupied by leading brands.

Now also home to RIMOWA’s entire range of iconic luggage and travel accessories, the store artfully blends original architectural features with the brand’s timeless functional luxury. A full-service Care Centre for on-the-spot luggage repairs is prominently positioned and visible from the ground floor. A sticker wall provides a contemporary complement to the space with a collection of luggage stickers from renowned design studios and artists around the world.

Contemporary architecture contrasts heritage-protected surrounds, creating a refined ambience that is quintessentially Viennese. Joining the luxury Park Hyatt hotel and classic Viennese coffeehouses nearby, the flagship sits at a pedestrianised precinct adjoining Kohlmarkt, Graben and Kärntner Strasse.

RIMOWA is a global leader in premium luggage. Since 1898, it has placed quality and innovation at its core, creating luggage for the discerning, purposeful traveller. Inspired by the aeroplanes of the pioneering era of aircraft construction, in 1937 RIMOWA introduced aluminium into the manufacture of its suitcases revolutionising the industry and creating their iconic design with parallel grooves. In 2000, they pioneered again, creating the first polycarbonate case on the market. Designed and engineered in Germany, RIMOWA combines heritage and craftsmanship with the rigours of modern technology. In 2017, RIMOWA joined LVMH Group.
